Joe boy shares the spotlight with Ugandan artists

Almost every up-and-coming artist dreams of sharing the limelight with the big names, and Nigerian musician Joseph Akinfenwa, popularly known as Joe boy, is providing that opportunity for any Ugandan artist.

Joe boy revealed this during a press conference held at MCI Media Hub ahead of his Lavida Rave concert, happening on the 28th July 2024 at the Lugogo hockey grounds.

"The dream I have for African children is for the opportunity for a child to do whatever they want to do as far as creatives are concerned," he stated.

The artist with the most convincing talent will be selected to work on a song with Joe boy soon after his concert.

He had a an exclusive conversation with the young artists who submitted their work for review ahead of the announcement to be made at the concert.

However, that’s not all. The organizers of the event revealed that at the concert there will be a recording booth where artists can jump in and record for free.

"The artists will have an opportunity to jump into the booth, with the producer there," Sammy Wetala added.

Additionally, a DJ battle will be held, where the winner, will be voted by the audience, they will receive an open ticket to travel anywhere and courtesy of Uganda Airlines.

The concert has been described by the events host Sammy Wetala as an experience, because it will allow fans to have a one-on-one interaction with the artist.
