The lganga Prime Vocational Institute has partnered with Gered Gereedschapto launch an entrepreneurship workshop.

This initiative aims to empower craftsmen by providing them with essential tools, training, and support to transform their crafts into thriving enterprises.

The transition from vocational training to employment is a critical phase for young Ugandans seeking to enter the workforce.

While vocational training is designed to provide practical skills aligned with industry demands, many graduates find themselves unemployed or underemployed, leading to frustration, lost productivity, and even social unrest.

In response to these pressing challenges, a workshop program designed to empower craftsmen through tools, training, and support by offering craft-specific tool an equipment access via a rental service and targeted entrepreneurship training

While speaking during the launch the director Prime vocational Micheal Bazira told Nile post that the program seeks to strengthen Craftsmen's craft quality and equip them with the essential skills to transform their crafts into thriving enterprises.

Thomas Watmon the country director Gered Gereedschap a Dutch non governmental organizational emphasized that the approach is designed to provide young people with access to top-notch tools, practical guidance, and expert training to enable them to find jobs as independent craftsmen.

The leaders and the community are optimistic that the 231,000 eruo project will boost the community in terms of skills and quality products.
