Rotarians, Rotaractors, and friends of Rotary worldwide are celebrating the confirmation of Rotarian Emmanuel Katongole as the next Rotary International Director (RID) from Zone 22 (Africa). Katongole, a Past District Governor of Rotary D9214 and a member of the Rotary Club of Muyenga in Kampala, Uganda, will assume his two-year term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028.
The news was confirmed by Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick and CEO John Hewko. Katongole's nomination followed a rigorous selection process, including an assessment by the Director Nominations Committee.
