At least 10 killed, 22 injured in Kyenjojo accident

The accident involved two taxis that collided
At least 10 people have been confirmed dead and 2 others injured after two taxis collided at Ngezi Trading Centre in Kyenjojo district.
According to Rwenzori West police spokesperson, Vicent Twesige, the accident happened at around 8:30pm on Wednesday when a taxi registration number UBR 800S, traveling from Fort Portal to Kampala, crashed into another, registration UBK 017N, heading in the opposite direction.

Twesige attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving by the driver of taxi UBK 017N.
The victims have been rushed to the hospitals of Kyenjojo General hospital and Fort Portal regional referral hospital,” Twesige said.
He warned motorists against reckless behaviour while on the road.
