The campaign introduces features like "Buy Now, Pay Later," which allows customers to make significant purchases, such as vehicles or gadgets, through installment payments.
Additionally, Absa is incentivizing new customers and those switching from other banks with favorable terms.
Highlighting the shift towards cashless transactions, Seguia noted a 50-million-shilling reward to top users of Absa credit cards, further encouraging digital payments.
“Our goal is to ensure convenience through mobile banking, point-of-sale transactions, and online services. We aim to be relevant in your sitting room, providing financial solutions without the need for branch visits,” he added.
The bank’s strategy emphasizes inclusivity, targeting customers with regular incomes and salaries, while also facilitating seamless international transactions.
Jooga 2025 aligns with Absa’s vision to become a one-stop solution for financial needs in Uganda and beyond.
The launch signals Absa’s commitment to innovative banking, promoting financial accessibility, and supporting Uganda’s transition to a cashless economy.
Ronald Kamulegeya, the Retail and Business Banking Director, highlighted the campaign’s focus on meeting personal and business financial needs.
“This campaign comes at a crucial time when individuals and businesses are recovering from festive season expenditures and preparing for key financial obligations, such as school fees, travel, and business investments,” Kamulegeya said.
He emphasized Absa’s commitment to supporting customers with tailored financial products, including unsecured salary loans of up to Shs 300 million and business loans of up to Shs 200 million.
“These solutions are designed to boost our customers’ financial capacity without the need for collateral, making it easier to start the year strong,” he added.
The bank also offers a wide range of deposit products and digital banking services to ensure convenience and flexibility for its clients.
Kamulegeya encouraged individuals and businesses not currently banking with Absa to switch, citing the bank’s competitive financing options and customer-centric approach.
“Whether you’re starting a new business, saving for your child’s education, or planning to travel, Absa is here to partner with you,” Kamulegeya said, reaffirming the bank’s position as a market leader in Uganda’s financial sector.
