Singer Patrick Mulwana, also known as Alien Skin, has dismissed allegations that he is being paid by the government to attack the National Unity Platform (NUP), led by his rival Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine.

His comments follow a recent incident where he and his FanGone Forest group were filmed attacking the NUP headquarters at night and spray-painting the party's building.

The actions sparked speculation that he was being funded by the government to discredit and undermine the opposition party.

However, in a TikTok video, Alien Skin refuted these claims, stating that if he were indeed being paid to attack NUP, the party would not be in its current position.

"No one pays me to attack you as you suggest. If I were being paid to do so, would you still be around? Would someone who is paid only resort to vandalism? Would you even exist?" he questioned.

He further stated, "If I had orders from above, would you still be here? Stop making false accusations. They are the ones being paid to fight us. Someone who is truly against you wouldnโ€™t act like I do. I simply wish you well."

Since gaining fame, Alien Skin has often found himself at odds with NUP supporters after criticizing them and their leader Kyagulanyi on multiple occasions.

Many fans of Bobi Wine accuse him of betraying the movement for political change and instead being used by the government to attack Kyagulanyi.

In a recent appearance on NBS Television, Alien criticized Bobi Wine's supporters for constantly insisting that he pledge his loyalty to the NUP principal.

"It's fine to view a musician as a friend. If I can give a rising artist a million shillings and they betray me, then it's entirely possible that I could also turn against the person you're trying to push me towards, someone I've never even met," said the Sitya Danger singer.

On Saturday, the National Unity Platform (NUP) issued a statement accusing musician Alien Skin and his group of trespassing at their Kavule headquarters.

"This morning at 3:15am, a team led by musician Alien Skin attacked the National Unity Platform Headquarters at Kavule. They violated the premises, threatened the security guard on duty and used graffiti to draw provocative things on our walls," NUP stated.

"It is regrettable that these brothers have learnt nothing from those who the regime and other detractors have used against the people in the past, including Sipapa, Sobi, Zebra, Kitatta, among others," the party added.

The incident, captured by NUP's CCTV cameras, has since prompted calls for the police to take action against Alien Skin and his associates.

The police have not yet commented on the incident.
