Chapati Wins Bamunanika Independence Cup
LUWEERO – Bamunanika Constituency celebrated Uganda’s 62nd Independence Day with the 10th edition of the Independence Cup, a highly anticipated local football event.
Chapati triumphed over Kyewagula with a commanding 3-1 score, delighting local fans at the Bamunanika playground.
The event's guest of honour, Elizabeth Salabwa, an aspiring Member of Parliament for Bamunanika, seized the occasion to connect with the community.
Salabwa, who is eyeing the parliamentary seat in the 2026 elections, reiterated her commitment to improving the lives of her constituents.
“I am here to serve the people of Bamunanika, and I promise to work tirelessly towards improving the quality of life for all residents,” she affirmed in her speech following the match.
