During the operation, police arrested 30 male suspects, who are currently being held at the Central Police Station (CPS) in Kampala.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police conducted an intelligence-led operation today at Container Village in Kampala’s Central Division, a known hotspot for criminal activity and drug use.

This area has come under increased scrutiny following a rise in incidents linked to the high crime rate around Clock Tower.

During the operation, police arrested 30 male suspects, who are currently being held at the Central Police Station (CPS) in Kampala.

They are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow. According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango, the objective of the operation is to disrupt and dismantle criminal networks operating in the area and to enhance public safety.

The police have pledged to extend similar operations to other high-risk areas within the Central Division, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining law and order in Kampala.
