Traders along Muhumuza road and Kigezi Dairy Street in Kabale Municipality have expressed concern over floods that interrupt their businesses due to poor drainage system in the area.

Business owners including  Kiconco Bwesigye and  Watson Mwesigwa among  others  said the situation has been worsened by current rains which have led to stagnant dirty water to flood the road, making it impossible for customers to reach their businesses.

They added that they have repeatedly raised their concerns with the Kabale Municipal Council for the past two years but there has never been redress.

“Our businesses have greatly been affected especially when it rains. During the rainy season, water cut soff the road to an extent that customers don’t have access to our shops. We have on so many times called upon the municipal authorities to intervene but nothing."

Ito work on the drainage  system in the coming weeks.
