As Climate Crisis continues to worry the planet, activists have called for a united voice to save nature.

Caroline Alupo, the co- founder of Mothers' Rebellion for Climate Justice Uganda, says it is no coincidence that the fourth global action within the worldwide maternal network Mothers Rebellion for Climate Justice takes place on the same weekend as International Women's Day.

"United mothers, with the common goal of giving their children a tomorrow, is a female force that can move mountains," Alupo noted.

Activists are optimistic that change can be achieved with collective efforts.

"It gives us hope that change is possible, says Mothers Rebellion Uganda. The climate crisis is already upon us and the children in Uganda are affected too," said Alupo.

The climate crisis is a health crisis, it's the single biggest health threat facing humanity and disproportionally affects women and children.

"Individuals and communities who are already facing inequities and marginalization due to gender, ethnicity and low income are highly vulnerable to climate change, as well as people living in humanitarian and fragile settings prone to drought and other climate change impacts," observed.

No matter how much countries reduce their emissions, and even if we reach the target of 1.5°C, the consequences of climate change on the health and well-being of the most vulnerable, especially women and the youngest generations will be profound.

Adaptation policies must therefore be developed to build their resilience.

The harmful and soon irreversible abuses humans are committing against our planet and children should stop. This as the 4th global Mothers Rebellion tqken place in record-breaking amount of countries/cities.
