Minister Sarah Mateke is dead
The State Minister for Defence, Sarah Mateke who also doubles as Kisoro Woman MP has died .
Mateke died in the wee hours of Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack.

Born on July 15, 1974, in Chahi subcounty, Kisoro District, Mateke was a devoted politician, educationist, and philanthropist .
In Politics, she first served as the Kisoro District Woman Member of Parliament between 2011 and 2016. She was re-elected in 2021 before President Museveni appointed her as the Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development in charge Children and Youth Affairs.
In the recent cabinet reshuffle she was appointed as the state minister for defence.
She was a daughter to former Dr. Philemon Mateke
