Iganga school sets up robotic lab to make students future-ready

Karibu International  School in Iganga district in Eastern Uganda has launched a robotic lab to help students learn coding and programming among other aspects to make them future-ready.

The school heads say  this will help pupils to cope with the changing education system and rely on technology to solve society problems.

This robotic lab,  the first of its kind lab in Busoga sub region currently has about 50 robots.

School heads have since been urged  to appreciate the teaching and learning of robots at an early stage to prepare future scientists.

A number of primary and secondary schools from within Iganga and outside attended the robots science lab launch which will be accessed for learning by other schools in Eastern Region.

The District Education Officer for Iganga Baker Kasadakawo says what is being taught is in line and very appropriate with the curriculum.

The school heads in the area say that this type of teaching and learning will help pupils and students to cope with the changing education system.
