The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has marked a significant milestone in the ongoing improvements to the Kampala Northern Bypass with the installation of over 300 street lights along the Bwaise-Busega section.
The installation, announced in a recent update on their X account, comes as part of a collaboration with Umeme Ltd.
According to UNRA, all transformers have been installed and are ready for activation.
Once switched on, the new lighting is expected to significantly enhance the safety and security of road users during nighttime travel along this vital stretch of road.
The improved visibility from the street lights is seen as a critical step in reducing accidents and enhancing the overall driving experience on the bypass.
