Next Media, the powerhouse behind NBS TV and other transformative media platforms, was honoured Wednesday afternoon by Rotaract Uganda with the 'Most Supportive Company' award.

The accolade recognizes Next Media's outstanding contributions to the recently concluded Rotaract Africa Summit 2024, held under the theme “Unleashing Africa's Potential: Rotaract Leading the Way,” through partnerships, sponsorships, and impactful collaborations.

The award was presented during a special visit to the Next Media Park by a delegation from Rotaract Uganda, led by their Head, Simeo Ssebukulu.

The visit was capped with a #NextMediaTours experience, giving the Rotaractors a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the organization’s dynamic operations.

Speaking on behalf of Next Media, Group CEO Kin Kariisa expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to initiatives that empower communities and inspire transformation.

“This award is a humbling reminder of the work we do and the impact we strive to create every day," Mr Kariisa said.

"Next Media believes in supporting platforms that bring people together, inspire innovation, and drive positive change. It’s an honour to know that our efforts are seen and appreciated,” he added.

During the tour, the Rotaractors shared their impressions of the Next Media team, describing them as welcoming and warm.

Simeo Ssebukulu highlighted the intentionality he felt within the organization.

"From the moment you walk in, you can tell that Next Media is a brand deeply rooted in leadership and innovation. It’s inspiring to see these values in action, not just in their media work but also in how they engage with people," said Ssebukulu.

Desire Derekford Mugumisa, Head of Corporate Affairs at Next Media, who facilitated the visit, shared his excitement at hearing such affirmations from external stakeholders.

“We are always excited to know that what we stand for as a group — leadership, innovation, and excellence — is recognized both by those who engage with us directly and by those who observe us from the outside. It’s a reflection of our intentionality in everything we do,” Mugumisa noted.

Next Media’s commitment to transforming Uganda through innovative and impactful media solutions continues to garner attention, with this latest award serving as a testament to the organization's unwavering dedication to informing, inspiring, and empowering Ugandans.
