Rotary International President Plants Tree at Next Media Park, Strengthens Taasa Obutonde Campaign

Rotary International President, Dr. Stephanie A. Urchick during her visit to Uganda, planted a tree at the Next Media Park as part of the Taasa Obutonde 15 Million Trees campaign. This campaign aims to tackle Uganda’s deforestation crisis and promote environmental sustainability. The tree planting followed the President’s tour of the park and preceded a press conference.
Dr. Stephanie A. Urchick’s participation reflects Rotary’s global commitment to environmental sustainability, aligned with its seventh Area of Focus: Supporting the Environment. Speaking about Rotary’s stand, she remarked: “Every club looks at it differently; they’re creative with how they’re saving the environment. They’ve planted trees, provided clean water, cleaned up rivers, and many other ways”
