The UMSC's decision stems from dissatisfaction with the latest report by the Uganda National Bureau of Statistics, which estimates the Muslim population in Uganda at 6.05 million.
He suggested that while it is advisable for wives to share their passwords with their husbands, men with multiple wives should exercise discretion by keeping their passwords private to avoid creating tension among their spouses.
He emphasised the importance of conducting thorough background checks before making such life-altering decisions.
Organised by the Mohammed VI Foundation, Uganda Chapter, the symposium drew participation from numerous Muslim scholars representing Uganda, Morocco, and Sudan.
