A swarm of bees launched an unexpected midday attack on Campswahili Police Station in Moroto District, leaving three individuals hospitalized after the assault.

The station was overtaken by the bees, with officers scrambling to escape the relentless swarm, some even leaping over the station's fence to avoid being stung.

Inmates were not spared, and their screams filled the air as they were stung repeatedly by the bees.

“I heard inmates screaming as the merciless insects descended on them. At first, I thought the inmates were fighting, but then I realized it was the bees working on them,” recalled Sandra Aleper, a resident of Campswahili.

Emergency response teams from the police rushed to the scene, braving the swarm to rescue the detainees. The injured individuals were quickly transported to Moroto Regional Referral Hospital for treatment.

Karamoja Police Spokesperson Mike Longole confirmed the incident, noting that the victims, who had been stung multiple times, are currently receiving medical attention and are recovering steadily.

Doctors treating the victims—who chose to remain anonymous—reported that some of the detainees had suffered over 100 bee stings but are now in stable condition.

The unusual attack has sparked speculation among the locals, with some viewing it as a divine message aimed at law enforcement officers.

“Maybe it’s God’s way of telling them to treat people more humanely,” suggested Joseph Opio, a resident of Kakoliye Close One.

Longole assured the public that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the attack, adding that safety measures will be put in place to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

The strange clash between the bees and the police has left Moroto residents abuzz with curiosity, prompting discussions and debates about the mysterious raid.
