Uganda Halal Bureau and Salam TV to promote Halal awareness

The Uganda Halal Bureau, the leading authority on Halal certification in Uganda, has partnered with Salam TV, the country's premier Islamic channel, to launch an extensive awareness campaign aimed at promoting Halal practices and raising awareness about certified products.

The campaign, which kicked off today 29th April 2024, seeks to educate Ugandans about the Halal industry, trends, and the significance of certified products. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to empower consumers with knowledge and foster a thriving Halal industry in Uganda.

"We are thrilled to partner with Salam TV to promote Halal awareness and education in Uganda," said Namaganda Safina, general manager of Uganda Halal Bureau.

"This partnership will enable us to reach a wider audience and promote the importance of Halal certification, which is critical for Muslim consumers and businesses alike."

The campaign objectives include; Providing comprehensive information about Halal certification, its importance, and its impact on consumers and businesses, highlighting the benefits of consuming Halal-certified products, showcasing the diversity and quality of certified items available in Uganda, and fostering a sense of community among Halal consumers and promoting ethical consumption practices.

The campaign will feature a range of activities, including developing informative and engaging content such as videos, articles, and social media posts, to disseminate key messages about Halal certification.

It will also see to utilising Salam TV's platform to reach a wide audience of Muslim viewers across Uganda through targeted programming and advertisements, organising public engagements to interact directly with consumers, businesses, and stakeholders in the Halal industry.

It will also help in leveraging social media platforms, blogs, and online forums to amplify the campaign's reach and encourage participation and feedback from the community.
