The Member of Parliament for Rubabo County, Naboth Namanya has asked the Minister for Public Service Wilson Muluri Mukasa to disclose the persons or government entities that bribed Mps to reject some of the bills that were seeking to rationalize some of the Government entities.

This comes after a number of bribery claims in Parliament that some of the entities that survived rationalization bribed MPs in US dollars.

The allegations have angered not only the Speaker of Parliament Anita Among but also some MPs who have tasked the Minister for Public Service to lay on table of the evidence rather than "him and other ministers tarnishing the good image" of Parliament.

“If the minister has evidence that some entities bribed MPs not to be rationalized, then the allegations by the Public Service Minister Muluri Mukasa must be tabled in Parliament," Namanya said.

“At first, government brought these  bills and wanted us to pass them in an omni-bus way, but we said no and told the minister to bring one by one so that we are able to scrutinize, assess and sieve them well to know which one should go and which one should stay. Now they think we have been bribed? Now the Minister for Public Service Muluri Mukasa withdrew some of the bills before being processed by Parliament who then  bribed him to withdraw some of the bills that were seeking to rationalized some of the government entities? This double standard must stop."

The MP said that there were entities that had served their  purpose of serving Ugandans and that there are those that are still important in service delivery.

Some of the entities that were not rationalized include the NITA-U, the National Forestry Authority, the Uganda Road Fund and the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA).

The others are the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA), the Uganda Diary Development Authority (UDDA), the Cotton Development Organization (CDO)and the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS).
