Busoga Kingdom is abuzz as sweet whispers of an impending addition to the royal family sweep through the region.

All eyes are now on the Inhebantu of Busoga, Jovia Mutesi, following her recent public appearance at a grand royal dinner with quite a bump to the royal good.

The Inhebantu and Kyabazinga William Nadiope tied the knot in a breathtaking ceremony on November 18, 2023, and now the couple seem to be gearing up to usher in a new chapter of their marriage and the Kingdom.

This speculation gained momentum during the Kyabazinga’s 36th belated birthday celebration held at the majestic Igenge Palace on December 14, 2024. Attendees couldn't help but notice a subtle but telling change in the Inhebantu’s figure.

Draped in an elegant flowing black dress, the Inhebantu stepped out with a glow that has set tongues wagging. What caught the attention of many, however, was her noticeably rounded belly and fuller figure.

Murmurs filled the air, with guests quietly debating whether the kingdom is preparing to welcome its first royal heir.

“The palace is grand but quiet. We need a baby to make it lively,” one guest was overheard saying, summing up the thoughts of many who attended the dinner.

Although the royal palace has yet to confirm the news, many Basoga are eagerly anticipating either a prince or princess to carry forward the royal legacy.

If the speculations are true, this would mark a historic moment for the kingdom, bringing joy to the Basoga people who have been rooting for their royal couple since their wedding last year.

For now, the kingdom watches and waits, with hopes high and prayers whispered. The signs seem to point to a royal bundle of joy as the Inhebantu is baking something in her oven.

These are great times for Busoga!
