In a display of compassion and solidarity, the Keddi Foundation has stepped forward to offer relief aid to victims of recent floods in Entebbe and support vendors at the Nakiwogo Market.

The foundation, known for its commitment to community development since its establishment in 2019 by Dr. Hon Keddi Steven, a Ugandan businessman and minister, has been actively involved in various empowerment projects across Uganda.

On Monday, April 22nd, 2024, the Keddi Foundation extended a helping hand to Angela Musiime, a single mother of four children whose home was inundated by heavy rains. Dr. Steven Keddi, accompanied by foundation members, local leaders, and representatives from organizations like the Uganda Red Cross, personally delivered relief aid to Musiime. The aid package included a rented two-room house for one year, essential relief items such as mattresses, bed sheets, mosquito nets, and a cash reward of $1000, aimed at assisting Musiime in rebuilding her life.

Expressing her gratitude, Musiime remarked, "I am very humbled by the Keddi Foundation for this support. I will use the money to start a business to become self-sustaining."

In addition to aiding Musiime, the Keddi Foundation also extended support to vendors at the Nakiwogo Market. One hundred pairs of gum boots were donated to help vendors navigate flooded areas, along with a monetary contribution of $100 to assist in procuring timber to mitigate flood risks within the market premises.

Dr. Keddi pledged ongoing support to the people of Nakiwogo and Entebbe, where the foundation's headquarters are located, emphasizing the foundation's commitment to fostering success among economically disadvantaged individuals and creating a more equitable and prosperous society for all.
